Naka-Kon 2010 Badge and Hotel Registration Available

Kansas City, MO - Naka-Kon 2010 will be held at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center. Convention-rate rooms cost $119.00 per night, and can be reserved via Naka-Kon’s location page. Convention attendees who stay at the Hyatt may receive up to four Kon Supporter badges. Kon Supporter perks include early entrance and/or reserved seating at special events such as autograph sessions and the cosplay contest, discounted Kon swag, and access to the Kon Suite (a room with free drinks and munchies).

Badge registration is also available via Naka-Kon’s registration page. Full-weekend adult badges cost $30 until Nov. 30, 2009. Between Dec. 1, 2009 and Jan. 12, 2010 full-weekend adult badges cost $35. At-door full-weekend adult badges cost $45. Naka-Kon Anime Convention is organized and operated by approximately 40 uncompensated staff members, many of whom are students and most of whom live in the greater Kansas City area. Naka-Kon was first held in 2005 at the University of Kansas Memorial Union in Lawrence, Kan. In 2009, nearly 3,000 attendees gathered at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center for a three-day, paid convention. Naka-Kon 2010 will be held at the Hyatt between February 19 and 21. Traditional features include industry guests, panels, game shows, contests, showings rooms, a vendor room and a video game room.
