First Five Naka-Kon 2010 Guests Announced
Kansas City, MO – Naka-Kon 2010 has announced its primary guest lineup for 2010.
Voice actor guests include Kyle Hebert, Kiba of Naruto, Kamina of Gurren Lagann, and Gohan of DBZ; Wendy Powell, Envy of Fullmetal Alchemist, Ms. Hongo of Burst Angel and Hevlaska of D.Gray-Man; and Chris Ayres, Johnny of One Piece, Camillo of Romeo x Juliet, and ADR director of Nerima Daikon Bros.
Artist guests include Amelie Belcher, webcomic artist and writer of The Real Life Adventures of Amelie and M. Alice LeGrow, manga artist and writer of Bizenghast.
Naka-Kon will continue to announce guests as the year progresses.
Naka-Kon Anime Convention is organized and operated by approximately 80 uncompensated staff members, many of whom are students and most of whom live in the greater Kansas City area. Naka-Kon was first held in 2005 at the University of Kansas Memorial Union in Lawrence, Kan. In 2009, nearly 3,000 attendees gathered at the Hyatt Regency Crown Center for a three-day, paid convention. Naka-Kon 2010 will be held at the Hyatt between February 19 and 21. Traditional features include industry guests, panels, game shows, contests, showings rooms, a vendor room and a video game room.
