Helpful resources for Comic Con attendees

For those going to SDCC, the massive Comic Con happening this weekend, we have compiled a list of tips and helpful resources to help make your experience better.

Programming Information/Schedule
When attending panels and events, pay attention to halls that may be entrance only or exit only.

The Map Page
This page contains a ton of different maps, as Comic Con takes over nearly an entire city. You may want to save the pdf version to your mobile device so you don't have to rely on bandwidth/data.

Games Information/Schedule
For the gamers - whether you prefer RPGs, board games, console games, or beyond, these pages include all the gaming schedules.

Some tips for those attending SDCC for the first time:
  • Make sure you have your fully charged phone! Without it, you will lose your friends. Plan for texting only, you won't be able to hear a phone call.
  • Plan for a lot of walking. This con is bigger and more spread out than any other convention you've likely attended. Be prepared with comfortable shoes and clothes.
  • Plan for waiting. For the largest panels, you may want to plan for 2 to 3 hours, or more, to get in. For some events, people wait overnight!
  • Be ready for crowds. It will be crowded. Everywhere. Plan to wait for food, exhibitors, events, restrooms, everything will be crowded.
Despite the crowds, there are few chances like Comic Con to meet some of the guests you can meet or connect with some of the companies exhibiting. Not many other places have Cartoon Network, nickelodean, Lego, Marvel, DC, and Warner Brothers all in the same place.

Have fun and stay safe at San Diego: International Comic Con this weekend.
