Balticon is a four-day celebration of science fiction and fantasy that brings together fans, authors, artists, gamers, musicians, and creators in a warm, welcoming environment. The convention highlights writing, literature, and authors, while also offering something for virtually every kind of fan. Attendees can explore more than 300 hours of programming, including panels, workshops, readings, signings, concerts, movies, and roundtable discussions. The event features gaming across RPGs, board games, and video games, making it easy to jump into play all weekend long. Balticon is also known for its strong filk and fannish music programming, with concerts, workshops, and open circles. Creative fans can enjoy the Art Show, Artist Alley, and the Marty Gear Memorial Masquerade cosplay contest. The convention also hosts the Sunday short science fiction film festival, showcasing independent films from around the world. With in-person and virtual options, plus a lively setting in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor entertainment district, Balticon offers a packed and welcoming fan experience.
