For a convention with a price that ranged from free to $25, Anime-ZAP! could not be beat. The convention created unique, fun opportunities for fans to socialize, interact, and enjoy during its formal dance, date auction, and concert events. Due to its price, this small convention usually excludes voice actors and instead featured several entertainment guests (like Samurai sword instructors). Anime-ZAP! is exceptional for being very cheap and yet still very immersive in anime and geek culture. The convention staff and attendees always have a friendly attitude, and everything is well organized and run on time.

Anime-ZAP! is the largest anime convention in Illinois that happens during the winter. Almost 1,000 fans gather for a weekend filled with events, panels, games, dances, and beyond. Highly recommended by all types of attendees, Anime-ZAP! is one of the best conventions in Illinois.
