WALKER STALKER CON BRINGS MAJOR CELEBRITIES FROM ZOMBIE, HORROR AND SCI-FI FILMS AND TV SHOWS TO CHICAGO THIS MARCH CHICAGO, ILLINOIS –Walker Stalker Con, a zombie, horror, and sci-fi themed fan-centric convention, will be held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center this March 14-16, 2014. Fan access to celebrity guests will be the primary focus of this event. In Atlanta, GA on November 1-3, 2013, Walker Stalker Con made its debut where it assembled 17 main cast members from “The Walking Dead”, more than any other convention ever before, along with 35 other actors from zombie and horror films. In attendance were Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus and “The Walking Dead” Executive Producer, Greg Nicotero, among many others. With cast members from “The Walking Dead” assembled at the upcoming Chicago convention, along with stars from other zombie and horror films, Walker Stalker Con continues to position itself to be particularly unique. Watch out for zombies invading Chicago on St. Patrick’s Day weekend! Walker Stalker Con all began when The Walker Stalkers Podcast with James and Eric (www.thewalkerstalkers.com) reached #2 on iTunes for all Entertainment podcasts. The podcast continues to be popular for connecting the fans to the celebrities and actors of the TV Show “The Walking Dead”! James and Eric wanted to take this same idea of connecting fans to the celebrities and created Walker Stalker Con. "We hope to continue this same kind of access and involvement as we did with our successful convention in Atlanta," say James Frazier and Eric Nordhoff, hosts of the podcast. “We want fans of TV shows, films and comics in this genre to have a chance to have real interaction with their favorite celebrities – not just a 10 second hand shake and photo opp.” The full list of guests can be found at www.walkerstalkercon.com/chicago/guests and it will be updated daily guests are announced. Walker Stalker Con kicks off on Friday, March 14th at noon. The exhibit floor will be open all three days featuring games, toys, comic and other memorabilia for true fans of zombie, horror and science fiction. Friday night, there will be a special Fan Meet and Greet for all VIP ticket holders. On Saturday there will be a VIP Meet & Greet with celebrities plus a “Zombie Costume Bash Party” – a night of dressing up, contests and meeting/mingling with the celebrity guests! (Must be 18 or older to attend the Zombie Costume Bash.) All events, except for the Saturday Night Zombie Costume Bash party, are family-friendly. Children age 10 and under do not require a ticket with a paid adult. (Children will receive a General Admission ticket only and are not eligible for a free VIP ticket. ABOUT THE FOUNDERS: James Frazier and Eric Nordhoff are huge fans of the popular AMC TV show “The Walking Dead.” After a once-in-a-lifetime behind-the-scenes trip to the set of The Walking Dead in Senoia, GA (Woodbury), they decided to start a website and a podcast. James and Eric do a twice-weekly podcast during the season of the show, which is meant to be fun and interactive.
