SciFi Fantasy Fest 2016

The Hoover Public Library has partnered with the Alabama Phoenix Festival to bring you the ultimate convention weekend! And the best part is it's FREE! Here' some of what you can expect throughout the weekend! Friday night: ~"Whose Line is it Anyway?" featuring talent courtesy of the Alabama Phoenix Festival! ~Discussion panels on comics, Star Wars, Disney animated films, Outlander, The CW and more! ~Tabletop gaming including: open gaming, Magic: The Gathering Standard FNM tournament, Exploding Kittens tournament, Pathfinder for Kids, game demonstrations and more! ~Breakout rooms ~Artist and Author Alley open 7 pm - 11 pm Saturday: ~Saturday Morning Cartoons ~Discussion panels on gaming, cosplay, Star Wars, Star Trek, comics, Tim Burton, Sherlock, DC and Marvel cinema, the Avengers and more! ~Demonstrations including: model painting, thermoplastics, and FX makeup sponsored by Warehouse 31 ~Cosplay contest ~Tabletop gaming including: open gaming, Magic: the Gathering tournament, Pathfinder Society RPG scenario play and game demonstrations ~Artist and Author Alley open 8 am - 7 pm Sunday: ~Harry Potters vs Star Wars ~Tim Burton double feature ~Discussion panels on gaming, cosplay, Doctor Who, Star Wars, and more! ~Tabletop gaming including: open gaming, Pokemon tournament, Pathfinder Society RPG scenario play, and game demonstrations ~Artist and Author Alley open 12 pm - 4 pm
