The Midwest's Premiere Pan-Genre Geek Culture Convention! Thank you for coming to Marcon 54 Our thanks to everyone who had a hand in making Marcon54 a successful and fun weekend. A special thanks to our Guests of Honor and panelists for everyone they did all weekend long. Our site will be a bit lean for a few weeks as we start preparations for Marcon55. First Guests Lined up for 2020 As listed on the back cover of the program for Marcon54, we have started lining up guests for Marcon 55 already. Our Author Guest of Honor will be Carrie Vaughn, who is the New York Times Bestselling author of more than twenty novels and over eighty short stories. She's best known for the Kitty Norville urban fantasy series about a werewolf who hosts a talk radio advice show for supernatural beings. Our Artist Guest of Honor is none other than Sara Felix, an artist who works mainly in clay and resin. She designed the 2016 Hugo Award base and co-designed the 2018 Hugo base with Vincent Villafranca. She was also the curator of the Infinite Worlds: The Art of the Fantastic gallery show in Austin, TX in 2018.
