Aki Con 2012
Oct 26-28, 2012
Aki Con 2012 will forever be remembered as that one con with the leaky parking garage for an artist alley. But was the rest of the con as bad as the artist alley? Overall: kind of. For a convention with at least a couple thousand people attending, the guest list was filled mostly with voice actors from small roles, and some of the events weren't terribly exciting - while others were pretty well done. The convention did put together a haunted house, and quite a few excellent cosplayers attended and hosted panels at the convention, however these upsides didn't come close to making up for the problems of those who came across the artist alley. The convention has a lot of potential to improve with a better guest list and better organization, but for now, it gets a pretty low score.
