Starbase Indy 2013

Starbase Indy is a science fiction convention with Star Trek roots held every Thanksgiving weekend in Indianapolis; it's now in it's 18th year. Starbase Indy is a fan-run event,known for its informal atmosphere, its Q&A sessions with the stars, and chances to meet and mingle with the stars in the Marriott atrium. Among this year’s talks will be weird science, the cosmos, the future of forensics science, Sherlock Holmes and Star Trek, as well as superheroes and strong females. Dow Agra will have a series of science demonstrations for children Saturday as part of the children’s programming. Workshops on moviemaking and writing, courtesy of MagicHouse Productions and Karmic Courage Productions, will stoke the creative juices. Starbase Indy also raises funds for its charities, Cat’s Haven, Jason’s Foundation and LUNGevity.
